Swami Sri Yukteswar’s Birth Anniversary Celebrations (In-Person & Online)
Friday, 10 May, 6:00 – 7:00 pm: Meditation; 7:00 – 8:30 pm: Devotional Kirtan, Stories, and Flower Ceremony

Sri Yukteswar was born to a wealthy businessman and his wife on May 10, 1855, in Serampore, India. He met Babaji, the guru of Lahiri Mahasaya, in 1894. Babaji told him that one day he would send Sri Yukteswar a disciple who would share the teachings of yoga in the West. This disciple turned out to be our beloved Guru Paramhansa Yogananda. Here’s how Yogananda described Sri Yukteswar:

He fitted the Vedic definition of a man of God: “Softer than the flower, where kindness is concerned; stronger than the thunder, where principles are at stake.”

Let us join in prayer, meditation, and chanting to honor the birth anniversary of our param guru, Swami Sri Yukteswar. May he uproot our delusions permanently that keep us from oneness with his consciousness?
