Ananda Music, written by Swami Kriyananda, expresses spiritual aspiration and a desire for a more meaningful way of life. This music is, as its purpose suggests, quite simple, yet beautiful.

Join Nayaswamis Biraj and Lahari as they take us through the history of Ananda Music. They’ve been disciples of Masters, Kriya Yogis, and teachers for many decades, serving in Ananda Village, Palo Alto, and now in Mumbai.

The session will be live-streamed on Zoom and Facebook. Click below to access it.

Nayaswami Biraj himself makes no special claims to insight. His life pattern is recognizably the same as most of his readers. A variety of jobs started with a dozen years as a preschool teacher, a stint in the publishing business, and half a decade in construction.

His life turned a corner in 1984 when he began practicing and later teaching meditation, including at Ananda’s Expanding Light Retreat, on the east coast, and in India. He was a founding member of Ananda India and also helped begin Ananda Valley Farm. Biraj’s warmth and joy are contagious.

Nayaswami Lahari is insightful, wise, and present. She has served in many of Ananda’s colonies since 1986, including Ananda Village, Sacramento, Rhode Island, and India. She and her husband, Biraj, helped to found the new Ananda community near Pune, India, and more recently, the new Ananda Valley Farm in Half Moon Bay. Lahari is a pastoral counselor and teaches many programs at Ananda.
