Swami Sri Yukteswar, “The Lion of Bengal”, entered Mahasamadhi on 9 March 1935. The Gyanavatar, Yoganandaji described, was ‘softer than the flower where kindness is concerned, stronger than thunder, where principles are at stake.’ He taught by the sublimity of example alone the true measure of a man.
