SUMMARY:Guided Meditation (Online) – Tuesdays\, Thursdays & Saturdays
DESCRIPTION:Evening Guided Meditations (Every Tuesday\, Thursday & Saturday) (Online)\n7:00 – 7:30 pm\nThe secret of meditation is steadfastness. The more you meditate\, the more you will want to meditate\, but the less you meditate\, the less you will find meditation attractive. Never quit. Do less meditation for now\, but remain regular. If you have already quit\, begin again today. \nDo not expect any specific inner flower (experience) in meditation. Expectations are bound to disappoint. Instead\, meditate in the spirit of karma yoga without desiring any specific result: “Whatever comes of itself\, let it come.” Even if nothing comes\, this is no problem. Meditation invariably brings good things that are outside our conscious awareness. So just happily accept whatever comes. \nThe purpose of affirmations is to send positive thoughts into the subconscious mind\, changing its automatic habit patterns. The best times to affirm such thoughts are when the subconscious mind is open and receptive. In deep meditation\, affirmations can be the most effective of all. \nThis session is broadcast live on Zoom and Facebook. Click below to access it. \n\nZoom Link to Join: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87077238647 \nAlso live on YouTube: www.youtube.com/@AnandaDelhi/streams

SUMMARY:Annual Eight-Hour Christmas Meditation (In-Person & Online)
DESCRIPTION:Annual Eight-Hour Christmas Meditation\nSunday\, 21 December\, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (In-Person & Online)\n \nThe heart of Ananda’s Christmas is this eight-hour meditation\, an annual tradition our Guru\, Paramhansa Yogananda\, started in 1931\, in which his students all over the world participate. Chanting\, music\, inspirational recordings\, and meditation periods carry you along\, and the time passes more quickly and enjoyably than we’d imagine. The blessings are tangible and stay with us well into the New Year. \n“Celebrate the birth of Christ in the cradle of your consciousness during the Christmas season. Let His vast perception in Nature\, in space\, and in love be felt within your heart\, as well as in the hearts of men of all races and religions.\nBreak the limitations of class\, color\, race\, religious prejudice\, and all inharmony so that the cradle of your heart may be big enough to hold within you the baby Christ love for all creation.”Paramhansa Yogananda \nSchedule\n\n\n\n\n Time\n\n Activity\n\n\n\n\n\n 8:15 am\n \n\n Energisation Exercises and Stretching\n \n\n\n\n 9:00 am\n \n\n Prayer and a brief description of the day\n \n\n\n\n 9:10 am\n \n\n Chanting/Music\n \n\n\n\n 9:25 am\n \n\n Meditation (90 mins)\n \n\n\n\n11:00 am \n\n\n Chanting/Music\n \n\n\n\n 11:20 am\n \n\n Meditation (100 mins)\n \n\n\n\n1:00 pm \n\n\n Chanting/Music\, and a short break\n \n\n\n\n 1:30 pm\n \n\n Chanting/Music\n \n\n\n\n 1:40 pm\n \n\n Meditation (80 mins)\n \n\n\n\n3:00 pm \n\n\n Chanting/Music\n \n\n\n\n 3:20 pm\n \n\n Meditation (40 mins)\n \n\n\n\n4:00 pm \n\n\n Chanting/Music\n \n\n\n\n 4:20 pm\n \n\n Meditation (35 mins)\n \n\n\n\n 4:55 pm\n \n\n Ending music\n \n\n\n\n5:00 pm \n\n\n Closing prayer\n \n\n\n\nGuidelines for the Meditation\nPlease keep silence throughout the day. \nPreparation: Rather than a heavy breakfast\, eat light\, easy-to-digest\, foods—or fast. Some people like to bring a light snack for the midday break when tea\, biscuits and dried fruits will also be available. \nClothing: Dress in loose\, soft\, comfortable clothes\, a little warmer than usual\, and a blanket or shawl. Don’t bring nylon clothes or plastic bags that cause sound. \nWhat to bring: Guru Prem will have the usual chairs and cushions\, but you may wish to bring personal cushions or shawls. Bring earplugs and an Aum board if you use one. If you bring water\, have it in a bottle which does not make noise. \nWhat not to bring: Your mobile phone – or make arrangements so you can keep it switched off (not vibrate mode). Please don’t come if you have a cold with persistent coughing or sneezing\, and please quietly leave the room if a coughing or sneezing fit occurs during the silent meditation. Wait for the chanting break to re-enter the hall. \nTiming: Please come by 8:15 or 8:30 am if possible\, set up your sitting area\, energize\, and do maha mudra. There is a power when we sit and start together at 9:00 am\, with prayer\, chanting and deep meditation. The vibration builds throughout the day\, so please stay all day if you can. \nIf you come later in the day\, enter the temple only during the chanting and music breaks\, in order to keep silence in the hall during the meditations. There will be chairs in the dining room\, classroom and meditation room downstairs where you can start your meditation on your own\, until the chanting break. Chanting and music will be broadcasted in all rooms. \nThe chanting breaks\, when you come into the temple and take a seat\, will be at: 11:00-11:20\, 1:00-1:40\, 3:00-3:20\, 4:00-4:20. The programme will end with prayers at 5:00 pm. If you leave the programme before 5:00 pm\, please leave during the chanting breaks\, not during the silent meditation. \nIf you are joining from home: \n\nSet up a quiet meditation space for the day. You may want to decorate your altar\, especially for Christmas in advance.\nHave all the meditation gear (cushions\, blankets\, shawls\, Aum board\, earplugs\, etc.) ready by your side.\nAsk your family to be quiet while you are meditating. Arrange your schedule so that you can meditate as long as you want without disturbance.\nPlease keep silent and stay inward throughout the day.\n\nThe session will be live-streamed on Zoom only. Click here to access.

SUMMARY:Discussion with Nayaswamis Keshava and Daya about the upcoming “Pilgrim's Vow of Intention” on 5 January (In-Person & Online)
DESCRIPTION:Discussion with Nayaswamis Keshava and Daya about the upcoming “Pilgrim’s Vow of Intention” on 4 January\nSunday\, 28 December\, 11:45 am – 12:45 pm (In-Person & Online)\n \nOn Sunday\, 4th January\, during our Satsang honoring Paramhansa Yogananda’s Birth Anniversary\, we will give the opportunity for Sangha members to take the “Pilgrim’s Vow”\, one of the four stages of renunciation as part of the Nayaswami Order. It offers devotees a way to make a greater commitment to God and live their lives with deep understanding and dedication to higher principles. If you feel like taking this step\, please join this discussion. \nIf you can’t join in person\, join online: us02web.zoom.us/j/84135131068 \nMore About the “Pilgrim’s Vow of Intention”\nThis vow is taken by one who wishes to make a greater commitment to God. \nThe Pilgrim Vow of Intention is one step to join the Nayaswami Order of renunciates as defined by Swami Kriyananda. The order of the New Age is open to devotees of any faith tradition. Renunciates of the order transcend the limitations of ego\, rather than suppressing their egoic desires as in traditional monasteries\, and live in the higher consciousness of spirit. \nThe vow represents a genuine commitment to the path of inner renunciation. The choice to become a pilgrim involves deep understanding\, willpower\, and commitment to higher consciousness. \nBelow are the words of the vow: \nI understand\, and intend from now on to live by my understanding\, that life is a pilgrimage\, of which the final goal is to find and merge back into God. \nI will endeavor resolutely\, therefore\, to direct all my thoughts and actions toward that end. \nI will offer up all material desires for purification in the fire of divine bliss. \nI will offer up all attachments for purification in that cosmic fire. \nI will search my heart daily for any lingering desires and attachments\, and will offer them to Thee\, my Cosmic Beloved. \nI will strive to be an example to others of a pure\, discriminating\, and noble life. \nI will offer the fruit of all my actions and labors to Thee alone. \nBless me\, and direct my footsteps ever to the summit of Thy holy mountain.  \nYou might also enjoy this short video by Asha Nayaswami on the Pilgrim’s Vow of Intention
