SUMMARY:Spiritual Sundays for Children
DESCRIPTION:Yogananda is often referred to as the “Flawless Mirror” who could reflect back to us our own highest potential. Children are mirrors as well\, reflecting back to us our own energies\, tendencies\, and consciousness. We must be supremely vigilant in how we respond and interact with them: with love\, understanding\, patience\, and positive energy\, which by far is the hardest challenge. \n\n \nAnanda family Sangha’s Spiritual Sundays for Children is a corporative effort of families involved with Ananda Sangha. \nThis program helps direct the boundless energies of children inwardly\, through Prayers\, Affirmation\, Chanting\, Nature games and many other activities. \nAs the school sessions have re-started and homework /school activities take up so much of their time\, with parents input the Spiritual Sundays for Children will be held on second Sunday of every month\, starting from July’18\, on 8th July. \nThese classes will continue instruction in key areas as how to be more energetic\, self-disciplined\, socially sensitive and spiritually aware. When these broader life-lessons have been mastered a child can be said to have realized their highest potential. \nThis Sunday \,July 8th\, we will connect the children with the spiritual meaning of “Family” through games and role playing.

DESCRIPTION:Today\, more than ever\, young women and men are change-makers\, building new realities for themselves and their communities. All over the world\, youth are driving social change and innovation\, claiming respect for their fundamental human rights and freedoms\, and seeking new opportunities to learn and work together for a better future. \nParamhansa Yogananda\, author of the spiritual classic\, Autobiography of a Yogi\, along with many other books\, including Man’s Eternal Quest\, How to Be a Success\, How to Have Courage\, Calmness and Confidence\, one realizes that he recognized this current reality even back in the 1940’s. \nThe upcoming Ananda Youth workshop will provide the framework for constructive platforms and partnerships to be developed with youth.  It is built on the premise that youth will carry the next wave forward. In our World Brotherhood Communities\, envisioned by Paramhansa Yogananda and made reality by His direct disciple Swami Kriyananda\, will be carried forward by the young people at Ananda today. \nIn this workshop\, topics which will be shared and discussed are: \nWhat is Fate? \nDuring our youth we sometimes question what it is we truly believe. Especially in India\, we tend to think of “Fate “ as the reason for things that happen to us\, our life direction\, and the people and situations in our lives. We’ll dive into this topic\, and take a look at how much we should accept\, or not\, the belief in “fate.” \nThe Mind- Repository of Infinite Power \nIn this section\, we will learn to tap into the unlimited potential that human mind has to offer. \nControlling your Destiny \nOur thoughts\, words and deeds\, past and present\, forge the chain of our destiny. Let’s take a look at the vast tapestry of our lives\, and understand how one can become a “Master of our Destiny.” \nSpiritualizing your Career \nSpirituality is not in contradiction to career; in fact it is the very basis of a successful career. \nMaximizing your Potential \nIn this section we’ll explore the tools can we use\, and the skills can we develop\, to move us toward achieving our highest potential. \n\n“It isn’t academic education alone that makes people happy.
